Gsmoon/ Xinqyue 260-2 Project in Finland.

Hi everyone!

I'm building a bit faster Gsmoon here in finland.
So far I have changed the engine and made the suspension work.
Smaller mods have been made to: petrol tank, dash, pedals, hedlights, front bumber, A-arms, seats, radiator...

I thought that you might want to check it out.

Last week I made the exhaust, finished cooling system and started with electrics.

Ist ja ne schöne Idee beim -2er den vorderen Rammschutz abzuflexen und tiefer anzubraten. Auf diese Weise schafft man gut Platz für nen vernünftigen Kühler vorn.
Original passt da ja kaum ein Kühler rein.
Bin mal gespannt wie sie das mit dem Antrieb lösen

nice work.

Can you post some data of your fast bug like vmax?

I just found it somewhere else:
It does 0-100km/h in 8,5s (with easy start, so nothing won't break) and topspeed is 150km/h.

Did you try cruising in the dirt or did you create it just for the road? Do you plan to drive on snow and ice?

What does the red blinking led mean that is visible in your last video? Near the speedometer.

I will have dynojetkit next week and then I will drive it on dyno.
Then we will now how much power does the engine generate.

Now it does 0-100 km/h in 8.5s ,like you said . And top speed is 150km/h

I built this just for the tarmac , but it goes great on gravel roads too.
In the winter I will drive it on ice track, and maybe on the roads.

Red led starts to blink when I drive over 60km/h.
It probably means that you shouldn't drive it at top speed. (originally this thing goes about 70km/h)


Does anybody have the electric map for this xykd260-2?
My fuel gauge is not connected and I would like to get it workin. (ran out of fuen once)

I don't know, if there are big differences, but you file an repair manual here for the 260-1.

Hi.

I just got a call from the powder coating company that my frame is now ready.
I haven't seen it yet but they said it turned out great.
So new look for the year 2010, bright white frame , black suspension parts and polished aluminium trims. ( a lot of little uppgrades allso)

I'm going to assembly it in few weeks, then we see was it worth it.

Ps. Still haven't got the fuel gauge to work. I would need wiring diagram for 260-2

the wiring drawing from the 260-1 and the 260-2 is nearly the same.
I have this drawing in King-Size format Din A3 and send it to your E_-mail account.

Finally I got something done.
Fenders and floor will be aluminium.

Hopefully I'm able to finish this build in few weeks.

Different countries - same idea

We also changed the floors in Alu at two 260-1 this winter.

The difference between iron / alu was more than 12 Kg.

Also possible to reduce the wight is to chance the cage (11-12 Kg) and the rack (7 Kg) in alu.

Hi Taktak!

Damn that alu-cage looks good!
But I will stick with original cage ( because I don't have skills for welding alu.)
My floor panel will be 1 piece and bolted under frame. It is pretty thick material so I'm not sure will it save any weight.
Its not heavier than original, for sure.

I have to get some more power from the engine, so it won't matter if it's a bit heavy.

Congratulation, this is a very thrilling rebuilding of your buggy. I have seen all your videos on Youtube and am a real fan of your buggy.
